Product Review: Illamasqua Hydra Veil

Monday, 7 July 2014

Illamasqua Hydra Veil is a cross between a facial moisturiser and a primer and has a very unique consistency. It however, does not promise to deliver your pretty little face any skincare benefits; it just aims to assist makeup application and wear. Illamasqua Hydra Veil is a jelly-like texture that is unlike any makeup product I have ever used or seen before. This jelly-like texture is what really sucked me in!

What they say:
Create a radiant finish with Hydra Veil's instantly rehydrating, gel formula. Providing the optimal base for your make-up.

What I say:
  • It provides an amazing base that intensifies makeup applied over it, resulting in the use of less makeup.
  • It feels undetectable on the skin and grabs the makeup applied over it in such a way that it doesn't feel like it's going to go anywhere.
  • I have used this on many different skin types and it has been amazing on all.
  • The scoop it comes with allows for this product in a tub to be hygienic.

I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase this over and over again. Illamasqua's Hydra Veil is a real winner in my eyes.

It sells for $48 AUD (30ml) from selected Myer stores, or get one with free international delivery from the Illamasqua website when you spend £50 (GBP) or more.

Have you tried Illamasqua's Hydra Veil before?

Ooh I've heared a few good things about this stuff. The scoop is such a good idea! Nice post!

  2. Thanks Loz! It really is amazing. I recently got the Matte Veil for my birthday and cannot wait to compare them!
