The Beauty Scenario TAG

Tuesday, 15 April 2014

I was tagged by the ever so lovely Dani from Kaboom Cosmetics to participate in the fun TAG. I love doing TAGs as they mix things up a bit and allow you all to get to know me a little better. Enjoy!

You have to get rid of all your foundations and only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
Eek! I can't choose. I am torn between my Estee Lauder Double Wear and my M.A.C Pro longwear for high end. I'm torn between my Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 and Maybelline Fit Me for drug store.

But I'll play by the rules and choose M.A.C Pro Longwear for high end because that's what I have been wearing more lately and Maybelline Fit Me for drug store as I seem to get lots of compliments on my skin and makeup when I wear it. To see my full review of the Maybelline Fit Me foundation click here.

You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
Oh this is an awkward one! I am one of those people that tell people that they have lipstick on their teeth or bats in the cave (boogers in the nose). Interviews however, are generally awkward enough. I would hope that I could find a way to cleverly tell the interviewer though. I am pretty sure they would notice me constantly looking at their teeth though and end up licking them.

You're not feeling yourself and you need a pick me up lipstick, which one do you go for?
When I feel under the weather I tend to always tend to wear a bright, but not too bright pink or coral. I generally reach for my Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids lipstick in 'Coral Bliss' or my M.A.C Satin lipstick in 'Pink Nouveau'.

You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
I don't really think I would change anything. I didn't wear much makeup until I turned about 17 and I think that's a good thing. Actually, come to think of it maybe I would tell younger me not to cut myself some huge ill-cut bangs. We live and we learn right?!

You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length pixie lott hair cut but they hear you wrong and give you a pixie hair cut. Do you a) smile, say thank you, leave, call your mum and cry hysterically b) cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) complain to the manager and demand a refund.
Holy crap! This makes me feel sick in the stomach. I don't even know what I would do. I have really long hair that I take really good care of probably a bit of b and c to be honest. I think you have to be in this situation to actually know how you are going to react.

Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag?
I would have to say My M.A.C Pro Palette. This is currently my most used palette because I chose all the colours myself and know what colour combinations I love. It is just a good go to for me.

Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?
The thing I would freak out about the most would be my makeup brush collection. I love my brushes and have spent a great deal on them.

I feel like I could make do with certain parts of my makeup collection if it went missing, but good tools are key to a great makeup look. I would be devastated if my brushes were taken.

Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) just pretend you haven't noticed b) ask them to repurchase it or c) secretly do the same to something of theirs.
I think my friends know better than to ask to borrow my makeup. I'm pretty protective of my things. I had a few bad experiences when i was younger and never got the things that I lent out back. So I rarely lend anything. But, If this happened to me I would, b) ask them to repurchase it. It's pretty poor of someone to give anything back in any condition other than what they got it in.

  1. Oh my i would loose my mind if my brushes were gone! I paid $400ish for mine from Napoleon so if someone took them away i would cry for days.
