Magic In The Bedroom: Silk & Satin Pillowcases

I sleep on a satin pillowcase! There I said it! And you know what? You probably will want to too after reading this!

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that will spend what feels like hours on my hair, only to go to sleep and wakeup with the style messed up, completely unwearable, and resembling something of a birds nest. Curls will often look messy and straight hair looks well, no longer straight.

Guess what? I don't have to deal with that crap anymore. Why? I sleep on a satin pillowcase and I'm not afraid to admit that I love it. The satin pillowcase allows my hair to move freely with out friction of my normal cotton pillowcase. The result? Pretty hair in the morning that doesn't look like I have taken a teasing comb to it, but is soft, smooth, and almost ready to conquer the day (you will still probably have to run a comb through it to ensure you look 100% put together).

Silk and satin pillowcases even assist in reducing hair damage and breakage due to the lack of friction it has on the hair.

Believe it or not, these bad boys are even beneficial for your skin too! Silk & satin pillowcases maintain moisture balance in the skin. How? They don't drink up moisture like cotton does; assisting all those creams and lotions you spend lots of your hard earned money on to have more of a chance to sink into your skin and work its magic.

Put your hands up if you like waking up with lines all over your face from your pillowcase. Just as I thought, no one! Silk & satin pillowcases even prevent this. They are so soft and smooth on the face that they don't bunch up, and leave lines on the face. They are even said to reduce pre-mature ageing and wrinkles, as they don't pull on the face.

Silk & satin pillowcases are available from a range of retailers. I picked myself up a satin pillowcase from Spotlight for no more that $10. Some stores charge through the nose for satin pillowcases, so don't let yourself be ripped off. Silk pillowcases on the other hand are more luxurious and therefore, will be a bit pricier.

Have I opened your eyes up to the magical world of satin and silk pillowcases?
