Februrary Empties 2014

Sunday, 2 March 2014

A few weeks ago I asked my Facebook followers if they would be interested in me posting about my monthly empties, including a brief run down on my experience with them, and whether or not I would repurchase them. So with no further ado, here are my February empties:

Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment Masque by Glamglow:
While it is pricey, this mask is a real lifesaver for those with oily skin, or those wanting to clear up an outbreak of pimples quickly. Pop this mask on and literally watch the oil from your pores and imperfections come out as the mask dries. Warning: this mask does tingle A LOT; I actually found it to be painful at first, but the benefits outweigh the discomfort 100 times over.

This is my new skincare obsession.

Available from Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima. $75 AUD (50 grams).

Repurchase? Over and over and over again!

Clarins Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Comfort Cream:

I didn't really notice any difference in the appearance or feel of my skin to be honest. This cream was heavily fragranced and really average.

RRP $65 AUD (50ml) Note: This product doesn't usually come in a 30ml tube as pictured above (this product was part of a skincare set).

Repurchase? No.

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water:

You spent good money on a can of aerosol water? Yes, yes I did, but it's not what you think!

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is so comforting! Itchy, red, irritated or painful and broken out skin? This is a must have! This spray provides immediate relief and can also be used to tone the skin and refresh throughout the day (even on top of makeup).

Available from Priceline or Terry White Chemist. RRP $9.95 (50ml),

Repurchase: Yes.

Nivea In Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner:

This stuff is a serious time saver! And great for people who are too lazy to moisturise their body and wait for it to dry before dressing (like me).

Available from Target, Woolworths, Coles, Big W, Priceline, and most Chemists. RRP $7.99 (400ml).

Repurchase? Already onto my 3rd bottle of this! Yes!

Fabulous Professional Nail Polish Remover (Non Acetone):
I usually steer well away from acetone-free nail polish removers, as they generally take a lot longer to remove product off the nails (and I don't have false nails). I picked this one up by mistake and was pleasantly surprised. It's the 1st acetone-free remover I have used that is just as quick as regular polish remover; if not, better! It does the job quickly without stripping your nails (acetone tends to dry the nails out). A winner if you ask me!

Available from Priceline for $4.95 AUD (125ml).

Repurchase? Yes!

Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer.
This is hands down my favourite makeup primer of the moment. Nothing holds my makeup all day like the Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless Primer.

Grab yours from your local Benefit Counter for $47 AUD (15.5 grams).

Full product review here.

Repurchase? Definitely!

Models Prefer Retractable Eyebrow Pencil.

If you didn't know already, you do now; this is my favourite brow pencil ever! Being an Eyebrow Specialist, I have tried many eyebrow products, high-end and drugstore brands included. This eyebrow pencil takes the cake. I can't beat it!

Available exclusively at Priceline. RRP $8.99 AUD (0.35 grams).

Full product review here.

Repurchase? Already have.

Have you tried any of these products? What were your thoughts and experiences?

Note: All opinions are my own. Product results will vary for different individuals.

  1. Love the Benefit primer! Hardly ever use it but because of its price tag ;( and I will have to check out the Models Prefer Eyebrow Pencil. I'm using a Revlon one atm that's $21.95 but this looks exactly the same, and so affordable too!

  2. Isn't it absolutely amazing! It is the best primer I have used yet. You only need a tiny bit!

The Models Prefer Eyebrow Pencil is a must have! I have used the Revlon one as well, but there is a big price difference (and I still like the Models Prefer one more). Let me know how you get on with it!

  3. Dani! You have to try it! I found it painful for a brief moment but then it settles. I also found that with each use it was more and more bearable. It made my skin feel and look fantastic as soon as I removed it!

Oh, what blog did you find me on? Glad you enjoy my blog :-)
