Product Review: Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Pot Liner

Monday, 16 December 2013

This gel eyeliner glides on application allowing fine and precise definition to bold eye artistry with ease.

This gel liner is made up of an exclusive oil-free formula that holds highly concentrated pigments in a clear gel, so colour is more intense.

Maybelline promises 24-hour wear that is not only waterproof, but smudge proof as well.

Maybelline's Directions for use:

Define – In small strokes, glide liner across lash line from inner to outer corner.

Define – In small strokes, glide liner across lash line from inner to outer corner.
Enhance – Extend and thicken line from outer corner up towards brow; wing out for extra drama.

Why I love it:
  • Multiple colour options, including Blackest Black, Brown, Charcoal and Eggplant.
  • It comes with an eyeliner brush to apply the product.
  • It wears all day.
  • It is oil free, which means it doesn't smudge.
  • It doesn't transfer onto the eyelid.
  • A tiny amount of product goes a long way.
  • It is safe for contact lens wearers.
  • It is suitable for sensitive eyes and is Ophthalmologist tested.

This liner gives more expensive brands a run for their money.  I personally find this product to be on par with M.A.C's Fluidline gel eyeliner in 'Blacktrack'.  The real difference between the two? The price! M.A.C's Fluidline retails for $32 (AUD), compared to $16.95 (AUD) for Maybelline's EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Pot Liner (both products being 3 grams).

Available from Priceline, Coles, Kmart, Big W, Woolworths, Target, My Chemist, Chemist Warehouse, Terry White Chemist and other selected Chemists.

What's your favourite gel eyeliner and why?

Note: All opinions are my own.
